The TRICARE West Region includes 26 states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

TRICARE Region Changes and Contractor Transition

TriWest Healthcare Alliance became the TRICARE West Region contractor on January 1, 2025, replacing Health Net Federal Services. Six states moved from the East Region to the West Region: Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin.

If you live in one of these six states and were previously enrolled in TRICARE through Humana Military (East Region), your coverage transitioned to TriWest automatically. You did not need to re-enroll during Open Season. If you experienced a disenrollment issue during the transition, you can call TriWest at 888-874-9378 to request reinstatement.
