Introduction to Veterans Park Picnic Shelters
Veterans Park in Williamsburg offers lovely picnic shelters that can be reserved for gatherings and celebrations. The park features the Willis G. Barnes shelter and playground shelters, which are designed to accommodate up to 50 people. Reserving these spaces is simple and can be done online or in person at the James City County Recreation Center.
Reservation Details and Availability
The picnic shelters at Veterans Park are available for reservation from March 1 through October 31. You can choose between half-day or full-day reservations, depending on your needs. Outside this peak season, from November 1 to February 28, shelters can only be booked from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. After these hours, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s wise to plan accordingly if you wish to enjoy these outdoor spaces.
