For the financial year to date, from July 1 to September 30, 2025, a total of 29,039 claims were received and 27,224 claims finalized. While the DVA has made progress in reducing backlogs, there are still 67,484 claims currently with processing officers and 19,993 claims yet to be allocated. One of the persistent issues remains the average processing times for these claims. Complex claims, in particular, are taking an average of about 333 days to process, highlighting a critical area for improvement.
