Next, you’ll need to sign in using one of the available verified accounts. The options include login.gov, id.me, DS Logon (which is available only until September 30, 2025), or My HealthEVet. Each of these accounts ensures that your identity is securely verified while accessing sensitive information about your claims.

If you currently do not possess one of these accounts, you can create a free account with either login.gov or id.me directly from the sign-in page. Once signed in, the interface will present a comprehensive list containing your claims, decision reviews, and appeals, enabling you to check their current status and further details.

The VA claim status tool also provides functionality to upload additional evidence for initial claims and to download decision letters for specific claims. If you encounter any difficulties during this process, the VA customer service is available for assistance at 800-827-1000, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.
